![]() Setting the alarm or checking the 2nd time zone means you have to wait a couple of minutes while the hand runs, which can be kindof annoying I pretty much don't use the 2nd time zone feature because of that. My only complaint is with setting the alarm and 2nd time zone the hour hand can't move independently of the minute hand, so it has to run the minute hand all the way around the dial multiple times. It has decent water resistance I've taken mine kayaking and skiing and it's held up great. The date is always right, it's always on time (you do need to set it for daylight savings time), and the quartz movement is not easily damaged. I use mine as my beater/travel watch, and it's great for that. ![]() ![]() It differs from other citizen watches simply because of the complications this specific movement does date, alarm, 2nd time zone, and perpetual calendar. Yes, the Calibre 8700 refers to the movement. Any citizen watch is going to be good quality for the money, and eco-drive watches are fantastic. The version you've posted has a much more retro-style case to it, but is pretty attractive I think. I have this watch in blue (picture below).
